  1. Good Morning
I was a member of GAR (English Language Section) from 1998 through 2002. During that time I participated in many enjoyable activities and classes and provided research pages and Internet links for instructors and students. My education background is Archeology/
Archeometry (Roman Emphasis), and I lived in the Mediterranean area for 18 years at various US Diplomatic postings.
Since leaving Rome in 2002, I have been teaching graduate level courses on Mediterranean History and leading Educational visits to Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence, Pompeii), Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Roman sites on the upper and lower Danube and Rhine Rivers for Encore Learning (formerly Arlington Learning in Retirement), a George Mason University affiliate organization, in Arlington Virginia, just outside of Washington DC.
Several of the courses that I teach focus on Rome and Italy and Roman North Africa. There are also courses on Greece, Egypt, the Crusades, Shakespeare’s Roman Plays, and Ancient Rome in the Movies. All of the class materials for this courses are available on the internet and are free for noncommercial use at
    http://www.mmdtkw.org/ALRItkwPages.html.
I hope GAR will find some of these materials useful.
